It is economic again. Many people are making charities in order to help the poors as now the economic is bad. Now, things are getting expensive. For example, last time, 1 cup, just 1 cup of coffee costs $0.50. Now, the price had increase by about $0.30 and had almost increased by 2 times of the normal price.
Think of the future, next time, how much will it be? 1 cup for $5? Or 1 cup for $50? Who knows? Only god knows. The next generation should get ready for these then.

I suggest you phrase it this way.
It is economic issue again.
One cup of coffee at the neighbourhood coffee shop costs S$0.80.
Things are geeting more and more expensive.
I pity those low income people and surely they have a hard time coping with the present financial crisis.
