Michael Jackson, also known as MJ, died of eating too many painkillers. He decides to host many concerts as he is going to be bankrupt. He wants to gain back his losses. In order to do this, he met many obstacles-his pain. This made him eat painkillers until he died.

I guess we can't tell the exact cause of MJ's death.
Autopsy is still not out yet.
We need to see the report before making any assumption.
However, I believe one of the factors may be overdose of drugs.
As you know, he was already past his prime and original schedule of 10 over shows become 50 over shows caused tremendous pressure on him to perform.
He is sort of perfectionism.
Let's wait for the autopsy report to know the true cause of his death.
